At Ideal Waterproofing we provide granny flat waterproofing solutions. Ideal Waterproofing applies waterproofing membranes to bathrooms and laundries in granny flat projects. Application of waterproofing products ensures your wet areas are waterproof and water resistant. We supply a range of angles that come in different sizes, materials and colors to suit your project needs.
Currently there are 2 waterproofing systems that we can provide granny flat waterproofing. A fibreglass waterproofing system that is durable, strong and long lasting. The other system, apply a liquid polyurethane membrane waterproofing product. It’s tough, seamless and self leveling.

Project Description
Observe – Review plans for layout and shower sizes. Flanges installed, shower rose and taps / mixers enough area for waterproof seal.
Prepare – Clean area free of debris.
Apply – Install water bar / stops, door angles, waterproofing membranes and sealants.
Conclusion – Removal of rubbish, working areas cleaned, documented report of completed works.
Application Process
Application can take up to 2 – 3 days depending on how large the project it may take longer. Areas prepared before applying polyurethane membrane system to internal wet areas. Most important use of joint sealant on all walls and floor joints. Also use joint sealant on nail / screw heads, penetration and waste flanges installed. Depending on floor substrate a 2 part epoxy primer may must. Apply 2 x coats of polyurethane membrane to substrate. Apply a soft acrylic membrane to shower walls.
